Formula One - Webber

Mark Webber has won his first Formula One Grand Prix in Germany, leading home Sebastian Vettel in the Red Bull Racing team's third one-two finish of the season. Felipe Massa completed the podium for Ferrari as the championship-leading Brawn team came home fifth and sixth with Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello.

Infosys - Australia

Indian IT major Infosys is set to increase its local workforce in Australia by 100 employees after it was awarded a 450-million Australian dollars contract last week. "Infosys is recruiting for a variety of positions this financial year (April 1, 2009, to March 31, 2010) primarily at senior and middle levels.

Infosys Australia last week announced that it had been chosen by Telstra as a key strategic partner to support its five-year 450 million AUD application development and maintenance contracts. "The recent Telstra win is one of the many factors behind this recruitment.

This may also include some junior level employees who have graduated within the last few years. "The growth will occur predominantly in Sydney and Melbourne, but also may see some people traveling to New Zealand for assignment," Infosys spokesperson told PTI today.

Fashion- Costliest Dresses

The dress you see is made with 325 gold Austrian coins (lent to the designer by the Austrian Mint Office), weighs 22 Kgs, and costs 26,900,000 JPY (233,000 U.S. dollars). This wedding dress, a result of the combined efforts of designer Renee Strauss and jeweler Martin Katz, is made of 150 carat diamond jewelry. It costs $12 million.

Kim Joo Ri - Miss Korea 2009


Twenty-one year-old Kim Joo Ri represented the capital Seoul at the Miss Korea 2009 pageant. She won the title last Wednesday. Miss Korea 2008 Na Re happily crowned her. There were 56 candidates from the country and some overseas Korean communities who participated in the pageant. The new Miss Koreas will represent Korea at Miss Universe, Miss International, Miss World, Miss Earth and Miss International pageants.

Jelena Markovic - Miss Serbia 2009



Jelena Markovic wins the Miss Serbia 2009 title. 21 year old Jelena will represent her country at Miss World 2009 pageant that will be held in Johannesburg, South Africa and in London. First Runner-up was twenty-two year-old Lidija Kocic who entered the pageant as Miss Belgrade. She will be representing Serbia at the 2010 Miss Universe pageant.

Expensive City - Tokyo

Tokyo is the world's most expensive city, according to Mercer's 2009 Worldwide Cost of Living survey released today. The cost of living was raised upto 13.1% from 2008;. The city which ranked at No. 2 in 2008's survey is now No.1. Japan's capital is followed by Osaka and Moscow, which held the top spot in last year's rankings. Geneva comes in fourth.

Gisele Caroline Bundchen is the highest-paid model in the world. She is a Brazilian model and also film actress. She bears the title since 2001 and she is also the sixteenth richest woman in the entertainment world. She holds the Guinness record as the world's richest supermodel and has appeared on over 600 magazine covers, more than any other model.

1.5 lakh Indians return from UAE

The Lok Sabha was told on wednesday that about 1.5 lakh Indian workers have comeback from UAE due to economic crisis and recession. Overseas Indian affairs minister Vayalar Ravi said most of the workers have returned to India on leave without pay with the expectation that they would be able to go back to the Gulf once the situation improves.

Nobel Peace Prize To Twitter ?

"Twitter the microblogging site should win the Nobel Peace Prize for its role during the civil unrest in Iran", said by the former US national security adviser Mark Pfeifle. More than 220,000 Iran tweets were sent through Twitter every hour at its peak, helping document the crisis in Iran following the contested presidential election results last month. He wrote in the Christian Science Monitor that "Twitter and its creators are worthy of being considered for the Nobel Peace Prize".

The annual Nobel Peace Prize is awarded to those who push for "fraternity between nations" and for "holding the promotion of peace". Previous winners of the award include Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King Jr and the Dalai Lama.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince


The sixth film in the series of Harry Potter "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" may be released in India by July17. It will be fantasy adventure film based on the novel by the same J.K. Rowling. The film opens with a dramatic attack on London's Millennium Bridge. The regular cast is back, with the addition of Jim Broadbent as the Potions Professor, Horace Slughorn, whose memories are key in the battle against the Dark Lord.
